This is a composition for choir and electronics (soundtrack). Auditory Scene Analysis is a subject that deals with the manner in which the human auditory system translates sound into meaningful information. The theory behind this subject was studied and used as a compositional aid for this piece and informed many of its primary elements, such as melody streaming and timbre.
Gareth worked for 8 years as a Network Optimisation Engineer at a well known telecommunications operator, having received a B.E. degree in Electronic Engineering from University College Dublin. His primary interest has always been music and composition and he is currently completing an M.Phil in Music and Media Technologies in Trinity College Dublin. One of his compositions featured on the DEAF compilation CD 2008. Gareth is from Dublin and lives in Greystones, Co. Wicklow.
