Graduate work
Pauls Thesis work presents a novel approach to recording live performance for multichannel reproduction. This methodology draws together Ambisonics techniques and convolution processes. It is shown that these procedures provide the recoding and mixing engineer superior control over noise level, and source balance compared with existing strategies. The natural timbre of the acoustic environment is maintained and the listener is presented with a more realistic, immersive and enveloping live performance recording.

Bio
Paul worked as a Network and Web Consultant until it nearly killed him. Leaving it all behind for the madness of Music and Media Technology was the beginning of a new path, where for the first time his creativity and technical skills merged to meet new challanges.
